NHS Tayside serves approximately 388,000 people over 2,896 square miles, covering the City of Dundee, Angus and Perth & Kinross council areas. It employs around 14,500 staff in sites across the region with the majority working in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and Perth Royal Infirmary. Community based health and social care services are now the responsibility of Angus Health & Social Care Partnership, Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership, and Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership.
The Tayside region is made up of Angus (population 116,000), Dundee (population 148,000) and Perth & Kinross (population 148,000) local authority areas. The three Health & Social Care Partnerships in Tayside recognise how important it is to work with the growing elderly population, and are supporters of the Power of Attorney campaign.
